My journey through education started in high school and is still continuing today. I taught first grade Sunday school for 4 years and it was then that I knew I was passionate about teaching. I attended the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pennsylvania. I was given great opportunities to observe, student teach, and even work for various preschools and elementary schools in urban and suburban areas. After graduating, I went on to teach the elementary grades at an alternative school in Delaware. I am a member of the International Education Honor Society, Kappa Delta Pi and the Association of International Childhood Education. I am a firm believer that every child is entitled to a great education, no matter their background or zip code. As a GLA teacher, I hope to inspire scholars to be the best they can be and to help guide them into unlocking their full potential so they each can follow their passions and dreams.
